Surface Preparation

Surface preparation is a crucial step before installing ceramic, porcelain tiles, or slabs. It involves cleaning the surface thoroughly to remove dirt, dust, grease, or any debris that could interfere with adhesion. For tiled surfaces, any uneven areas should be leveled, and cracks or holes should be filled to create a smooth, stable base. For slabs, the surface must be clean, dry, and level, ensuring proper support for the heavy material. Proper surface preparation helps achieve a strong bond and prevents future issues like tile shifting or slab movement.

Ceramic & Porcelain tile, Slab

Ceramic and porcelain tile installation involves preparing the surface, cutting tiles to fit, and using a thin-set mortar to adhere them. Porcelain tiles, being denser and less porous, require slightly more careful handling than ceramic tiles. After laying the tiles, grout is applied between the joints for a finished look. Slab installation, often used for countertops or large surfaces, involves carefully measuring, cutting, and securing large, solid pieces of material, like granite or marble, to create a seamless, durable surface. Both installations require precision to ensure durability, aesthetics, and proper alignment.

Carpet, Vct, Rubber, Resilient Sheet

Carpet, VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile), rubber, and resilient sheet flooring are popular flooring options, each with unique benefits. Carpet provides comfort and warmth, often used in residential spaces, and requires regular cleaning and maintenance. VCT is durable, affordable, and commonly used in commercial spaces, consisting of vinyl tiles that are easy to install and replace. Rubber flooring is highly durable, slip-resistant, and often used in gyms, playgrounds, or high-traffic areas due to its shock-absorbing properties. Resilient sheet flooring, typically made from vinyl, is flexible, easy to maintain, and suitable for areas like kitchens and bathrooms due to its water resistance.
